This nearly pristine proof boasts deeply mirrored fields with frosty, sharply struck devices that create strong cameo contrast. The surfaces are blast white and exceptionally clean, and the visual appeal is excellent.

CAC. Just 30,100 minted and one of the rarest dates in the series. Significantly scarcer than the more famous quarter eagle and half eagle of the same date. This is a pleasing example and very nearly mint state with a sharp strike and problem-free lustrous surfaces.
