Well struck and lustrous with semi proof-like surfaces and a faint golden hue.
A very desirable Dahlonega Mint ‘Five’ from a mintage of 39,036, of which no more than a couple hundred have survived. This is a very attractive coin with choice lustrous surfaces that are devoid of the problems that tend to plague Southern mint coinage.
Over 2 million minted but very few have survived in mint state. This is a nice brilliant example with vibrant mint luster and a very sharp strike. The surfaces are quite attractive with fewer abrasions than typically encountered for the grade.
One of the key dates in the series and scarce in any grade. PCGS estiamtes the mintage at 16,000 coins with 450 survivors in all grades, raw and slabbed. Well detailed with a well defined head, stars, and wreath. The surfaces are lustrous and mostly white with light toning mainly at the borders.

Small Date. Far rarer than the Large Date variant of this date. This is a well struck example with original antique-gold surfaces and substantial underlying luster.
The first regular issue U.S. Double Eagle. The unique 1849 in the Smithsonian Museum is technically a pattern. This is a pleasing example with sharp detail and bright lustrous surfaces.
