Crisp white luster and a sharp strike with pleasing clean surfaces. A lovely example of this popular Civil War date.

Sharp detail with lustrous silver-gray surfaces. Just 100,000 minted and, like all the early ‘S’ mints, they saw heavy circulation.

High R-7. The obverse die is from the Seated Liberty design used for regular-issue coinage in 1863. The reverse features the standard perched eagle motif with the addition of a scroll with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST inscribed. Struck in silver with a reeded edge.

A scarce Civil War era issue with a mintage of just 2,630. This is a pleasing example with a sharp strike, minimal abrasions for the grade, and lustrous gold surfaces.

Low R-7. Struck from the regular obverse die, and paired with the regular reverse die of 1866 with the motto above the eagle. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This is a sharply struck specimen with a deep cobalt-blue, golden-brown, and forest-green patina.
