Sharply struck with nice original lustrous surfaces. Very popular as the overdate is quite clear and it’s the only overdate in the series.

The only overdate in the series with the 8 showing clearly under the second 9 in the date. This a pleasing example with original lustrous surfaces and minimal marks.

A nearly mint state example of this better date with bright lustrous surfaces and just a touch of rub on the high points of the design.

Well struck with pleasant yellow-gold surfaces. Despite a relatively high mintage, quite elusive in any mint state grade.

Well struck with no significant marks and lustrous surfaces that display considerable mint red.

Sharply struck and virtually mark-free and spot-free. The obverse displays blazing mint red luster while the reverse is nearly the same but has mellowed very slightly. Still, most collectors and dealers would consider this coin full red rather than the RB that PCGS has designated.
