Well struck with lustrous yellow-gold surfaces. Minimally abraded and wonderful for the grade. Pre-Civil War ‘Fives’ are tough in mint state and this date is no exception.

CAC. Sharply struck with pleasing chocolate brown surfaces and just the barest touch of friction on the high points of the design. The surfaces are problem-free and the excellent eye appeal makes this a more desirable example of this classic rarity than many of the Proof-60 and Proof-61 examples that exist.

Upright 5. Sharply struck with choice glossy chocolate brown surfaces.

Well detail with attractively toned original surfaces.

A choice mint state example from the final year of the series with glossy chocolate brown surfaces and fewer marks than typically seen for the grade.

CAC. Well detailed and lustrous with light toning and friction only on the high points of the design.

CAC. Blast white and extremely flashy with a solid strike and heavy frost on the design.
