Liberty’s hair and cap display strong definition and the reverse eagle retains sharp feathering with just light wear on the high points of the design. The surfaces are pleasing and an even light silver-gray with no significant marks and considerable remnant mint luster.

Broken 3. The dies on this guide book variety were prepared with a broken ‘3’ punch resulting a poorly shaped ‘3’. This is a very attractive example with sharp detail and highly lustrous surfaces. The center is silver-white with delicate peripheral gold, lavender, and blue toning at the borders.
Large E’s. Well detailed and problem-free with original gunmetal gray surfaces. The underlying 2 clearly shows within the primary 3 and off to the bottom-right.
