Sharply struck with crisp details in the feathers and wreath, and smooth, problem-free surfaces consistent with the high grade. This Gem better date retains considerable mint red intermixed with rich gold and greenish-brown tones on the obverse, and ruby and brown tones on the reverse.

R-7. Charles Barber’s Standard Silver design with Liberty seated, hand resting on a shield with a Liberty pole behind. The reverse displays 5 CENTS surrounded by a wreath of cotton and corn. Struck in copper with a plain edge.

Sharply struck with deep reflective fields and uniform golden-gray patina. An even 1,000 struck which was a fairly hefty mintage for that era.

CAC. A dazzling Gem example as this piece radiates brilliant luster across both sides and is extremely well struck.
