A very popular date as it is rare, from the Dahlonega Mint, and has an obverse mintmark. This is a beautiful ’39-D with attractive surfaces that display sharp detail and bright gold luster. Significantly nicer than most surviving examples which typically grade Very Fine to Extra Fine and often come struck on problem planchets.
