A pleasing Mint State example with rich, original gold color and strong luster. Liberty’s portrait is sharply defined, with crisp stars and clean fields, while the reverse eagle shows bold detail. The “plus” designation underscores the coin’s superior eye appeal and quality within the grade.
Sharply struck with beautiful smooth chestnut brown surfaces. Outstanding for the grade with no significant marks.
CAC. Sharply struck with all of Liberty’s intricate hair detail fully rendered. The surfaces are choice and display rich flowing luster and minimal marks.
A needle-sharp strike with rich satiny luster over beautiful original surfaces that are devoid of noteworthy marks.
CAC. Sharp detail with problem-free original surfaces that retain a trace of mint luster. A great choice for a type collector seeking a nice Dahlonega ‘Five’.
Well struck with minimal marks and lustrous original surfaces. Only 2 have graded numerically finer at NGC!
An exceptionally well struck coin from a date that often displays a weak strike. The surfaces are wonderfully original with rich satiny luster and a faint blue-green hue, especially on the reverse. A scarce coin in this high of grade with just 13 examples grading numerically finer at PCGS.
A semi-key date that is very tough to find in high grade. The mintage was 430,000 which is fairly robust for the era, but few coins were saved by collectors. This is a very attractive, sharply struck example, with vibrant brilliant luster and just a tiny trace of high point friction.
