Strong detail with nice medium brown color and choice problem-free surfaces. A tough coin to find with premium quality color and surfaces!
Sharply struck with no adjustment marks and bright lustrous surfaces. The obverse is satiny and lightly frosted while the reverse has reflective semi proof-like surfaces. 44,344 minted with an estimated 650 to 850 known.

C-5. Spiked Chin. R-4. The rarest of the 4 different Spiked Chin varieties. Well detailed and attractive with the dramatic spike coming off Liberty’s chin, plus the reverse has a heavy bisecting die crack with additional peripheral die cracks.
