One of the better known examples of this date, with vibrant satiny white luster over outstanding surfaces. The strike is needle-sharp and the few marks are minor and well within expectations for the grade. PCGS has graded just 12 coins finer.

CAC. Very flashy with heavy frost on the design and ‘orange-peel’ textured proof surfaces. Excellent eye appeal. Just 87 minted, compared to over 1,000 for the dates from 1884 to 1889.
