R-7.  A transitional pattern with the reverse of 1866, which added IN GOD WE TRUST, paired with the regular issue 1865 obverse.  Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This is a gorgeous example with choice brown surfaces highlighted by bright blue overtones.

Excellent detail with pleasing medium gray surfaces and a stronger mintmark than typically seen.

Solid detail for the grade with a bold LIBERTY, and attractive surfaces are a pleasing medium gray. Just 41,000 minted and scarce in any grade.

With Motto. Deep reflective mirrored surfaces and a bold strike with richly frosted design features. The cameo contrast is strong and the fields are clean with just a hint of peripheral toning. Excellent eye appeal!
