An exceptionally well struck coin from a date that often displays a weak strike. The surfaces are wonderfully original with rich satiny luster and a faint blue-green hue, especially on the reverse. A scarce coin in this high of grade with just 13 examples grading numerically finer at PCGS.

A semi-key date that is very tough to find in high grade. The mintage was 430,000 which is fairly robust for the era, but few coins were saved by collectors. This is a very attractive, sharply struck example, with vibrant brilliant luster and just a tiny trace of high point friction.
