Wreath Below Ship. A copper token struck in England to commemorate the British occupation of Newport, RI during the American Revolution. This is a very desirable example with strong detail throughout and just lightly worn high points, consistent with the grade. The surfaces are exceptionally nice for this scarce issue with a pleasing brown patina.
