Incredible quality with nearly mark-free blast white surfaces and a needle-sharp strike. The design elements are heavily frosted and produce a strong ‘cameo’ as they sit on beautiful semi proof-like fields.
A sharp, lustrous example of this clear overdate variety from the Carson City Mint. Brilliant satiny luster rolls evenly across both sides, with heavy white frost highlighting crisp strike details on all the design elements. Outstanding for the grade with minimal marks and very strong eye appeal.
CAC. Satiny white luster and a strong strike. Nearly a Gem.
This is a magnificent gem proof with outstanding eye appeal. The frosted, fully struck devices contrast dramatically against deeply mirrored fields. Both sides show crisp detail, radiant mirrors, and pleasing originality. Just 975 proofs minted and scarce as a business strike as well.
Nearly full red with frosted devices and an iridescent lavender hue. A beautiful proof!
Sharply struck and lustrous with a nice blend of mint red and olive-brown toning.
One of the better known examples of this date, with vibrant satiny white luster over outstanding surfaces. The strike is needle-sharp and the few marks are minor and well within expectations for the grade. PCGS has graded just 12 coins finer.
