CAC. A strange variety because the mintmark isn’t just too large, it’s also poorly shaped. This wasn’t a half dollar or dollar ‘O’ accidently used on a quarter die. The present coin is well detailed for the grade with well-worn but still very attractive coin-gray surfaces.
Beautiful yellow-gold luster flows across sharply struck and satiny surfaces. Marks are minor and of no consequence. A fantastic Type 2 near ‘Gem’ example with excellent eye appeal!
CAC. Well detailed with choice original surfaces and underlying luster.
Boldly struck with rich satiny mint luster and just a touch of rub.
Sharply struck with light golden toning and strong underlying luster.
Lustrous light olive-brown surfaces with a touch of red in the protected areas. Outstanding for the grade with strong eye appeal and no significant marks or spots.
Upright 55. Well struck with glossy chocolate brown surfaces.
Outstanding for the grade with a rich lustrous orange-gold patina displaying blue-gray toning. The surfaces are choice and wonderfully original with minimal marks. Housed in an old green label holder.
