A scarce date with the third lowest mintage in the series. This is a pleasing example with a very sharp strike and lustrous original surfaces.
The second lowest mintage in the series behind the ’11-D with 240,000 struck. However; NGC has graded 54 1914’s as MS-65 and 5 finer while they have graded 80 MS-65 1911-D’s and 6 finer. This is a lovely example with rich satiny luster and a sharp strike.
An incredible matte proof with a needle-sharp strike and essentially perfect surfaces. Coated with a rich vibrant luster patina and accented with light hues of ice-blue and gold, producing remarkable pizzazz. A single 68+ coin is all that has graded finer at PCGS.
