St. Louis District. Plenty of bold color and brightness remains on this seldom seen note. According to Track and Price, only 28 notes are known in all grades. Only 3 notes have achieved this grade level at PMG. Only a single VF-35 and a single XF-40 grade finer.
Cleveland District. A great issue of a tougher series released late in the run of large size notes. This example displays bold inks, bright premium paper, and nice wraparound margins.
Atlanta District. A very scare issue with only 17 known in all grades according to Track & Price. No notes are listed as uncirculated and this is the only note in any grade listed with an ‘EPQ’ designation. The inks remain strong and the premium paper displays only moderate even circulation.
Minneapolis District. Well centered with strong color.
Lustrous and original with strong detail and problem-free nickel-gray surfaces.
Well struck with strong definition in the hair and feathers on the obverse and a well struck bison on the reverse. The surfaces are lustrous and original with fewer marks than typically associated with the grade.
Creamy white lustrous surfaces with a solid strike and no significant abrasions.
An attractive example of this better date with just a brush of toning.
