Sharply struck with bold design elements including the stars and Liberty’s gown and head. The surfaces are a lustrous silver-white with minor scattered contact marks that are consistent with the grade.

The highest mintage for any Charlotte Mint half eagle at 84,151 coins. Still, most are VF to XF, and nice AU grade 1847-C’s are truly scarce. This is a very desirable example with choice yellow-gold surfaces that retain a fair amount of mint luster.

Very scarce in any grade with a mere 6,500 minted. This is a choice original coin with solid detail and attractive lustrous surfaces.

Flashy and very nice for the grade with bright luster and a sharp strike. A relatively high mintage of 260,775 but few have survived in high grade.
