Closed 3. Satiny luster and a sharp strike with lightly toned nickel-gray surfaces.
A great strike with vibrant luster and mostly red surfaces.
This beautiful Gem is sharply struck, with crisp definition in the vertical shield lines, crossbars, and wreath detail. Brilliant luster radiates across both sides, with frosty silver-white surfaces that are remarkably clean for the grade. The CAC sticker affirms this as a premium example at its grade level.
CAC. A beautiful Gem with spot-free light brown and faded red surfaces that are devoid of any noteworthy marks or blemishes. This was the final year of the series and only proofs were struck. The Closed 3 variant was struck first with an estimated mintage of just 600 coins. These Open 3 coins followed with […]
R-4. The obverse design is similar to the issued Trade dollar, but Liberty’s left hand rests on a globe, her right hand holds a liberty pole, and plow handles are seen behind the globe. On the reverse, the ribbon bearing E PLURIBUS UNUM is held by the eagle in its beak, and the eagle clutches […]
This handsome Proof shows frosty, cameo-contrast devices that stand out boldly against mirrored fields, creating very strong eye appeal. Liberty’s figure is sharply detailed, with crisp definition in the gown folds, shield lines, and head, while the reverse eagle displays fine feather detail and strong presence. Light hairlines and minor field disturbances account for the […]
Fantastic quality and wonderfully original with bright reflective surfaces displaying beautiful turquoise and rose toning. A proof-only date and the final year of the series with just 600 minted. None have graded numerically finer at PCGS!
A very rare date with a mere 7,416 minted and fewer than 100 estimated survivors. Most of these are heavily circulated. The present coin is one of the few high grade survivors with attractive orange-gold surfaces that are minimally abraded. The detail is strong and light wear is limited to the high points of the […]
Arrows. An incredible Gem that is tied with one other for finest graded at PCGS! The surfaces are silver-white and semi proof-like with strong eye appeal. A single pair of dies were used to strike 228,000 coins. They apparently saw heavy circulation as few survived and high grade survivors are extremely rare.
