St. Louis District. Plenty of bold color and brightness remains on this seldom seen note. According to Track and Price, only 28 notes are known in all grades. Only 3 notes have achieved this grade level at PMG. Only a single VF-35 and a single XF-40 grade finer.
Cleveland District. A great issue of a tougher series released late in the run of large size notes. This example displays bold inks, bright premium paper, and nice wraparound margins.
Minneapolis District. Well centered with strong color.
A beautiful Gem example of this scarce date displaying sharp strike definition on the Indian’s braid and feather details, with bold bison contours and clear horn separation. Surfaces are smooth and satiny with attractive original light silver-gray toning and minimal distractions. A well-preserved, eye-appealing Buffalo Nickel!
Sharp detail with choice original surfaces that retain a trace of mint luster.
Creamy white lustrous surfaces with a solid strike and no significant abrasions.
Very attractive with vibrant satiny white luster off choice surfaces that are nearly mark-free. The strike is well above average for the issue with 3/4 head detail.
Well detailed with lustrous silvery surfaces that display just a touch of high-point wear.
A well detailed example of this better date, with choice original light gray surfaces. Problem-free and very attractive.
