Portrait of Daniel Manning, Secretary of the Treasury, 1885-1887. The allegorical figures represent Agriculture and Industry. Well centered with even wear and a solid look for the grade. Super scarce with only 29 pieces in the Track and Price census.

Dazzling brilliant and highly reflective fields surround lightly frosted devices. Nearly perfect surfaces display a subtle gold and ice-blue hue. None have graded numerically finer at PCGS or NGC.

A stunning example of this better date with a sharp strike and radiant mint luster over exceptionally nice surfaces. Just 6,000 minted and only 5 have graded finer at NGC.

Beautiful apricot hues shimmer across razor-sharp devices and glowing mirrored fields. Marks associated with the grade are minor and within expectation. The only date in the Half Eagle series that is proof-only with a mintage of just 87 pieces and a survival estimate of 35-40 known. Pieces of any quality are seldom offered.
