High R-7. Regular die trial for the 1872 Seated Liberty Dime. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This example shows reflective surfaces beneath a deep chocolate-brown patina with lighter highlights over the devices.  Very scarce with just 3 or 4 known.

A well-preserved Mint State example with bright silver surfaces displaying satiny mint luster with strong overall definition in Liberty’s figure and the eagle on the reverse. Light contact marks typical of the grade are present, yet the coin offers pleasing eye appeal. Old green label holder.

A sharply struck near-Gem example with smooth, satiny luster and excellent eye appeal. Both sides display clean fields and crisp definition throughout the shield, wreath, and stars. Well preserved for this challenging early nickel issue.

CAC. A robust 6,036,000 minted yet this is a very tough date in high grade, and this is a beautiful example. The surfaces are nearly pristine with vibrant mint luster and the strike is extremely sharp.
