A sharp, lustrous example of this clear overdate variety from the Carson City Mint. Brilliant satiny luster rolls evenly across both sides, with heavy white frost highlighting crisp strike details on all the design elements. Outstanding for the grade with minimal marks and very strong eye appeal.

A scarce and desirable Carson City overdate, with the better 1878 reverse.  This coin displays strong mint luster with attractive, original silver surfaces and well-defined frosted devices. Light, typical bag marks are present but do not detract from the overall eye appeal.  Housed in an old green label holder.
