Ryder 5-A. Attractive smooth surfaces that are devoid of marks or spots and are a deep brown color.

Very sharp detail for the grade with a detailed portrait and wreath and bold date and legend. The surfaces are a beautiful medium brown and marks are minor and don’t distract from this coins very strong eye appeal. A rare coin from the first year of regular U.S. Mint production!

Head of 1794. S-43. Well detailed with far above average light brown surfaces. A few minor tics are consistent with the grade.

Head of 1794. S-23. R-4+. A scarce and popular variety with a dramatic die break running parallel to the pole on the obverse. This example has attractive light brown surfaces and the typical weakness at the center of the reverse as struck.

No New York. Far rarer than the With New York variety. Although well worn, this is still a nice problem-free example with pleasing medium brown surfaces.

2 Leaves. Warm original silver-gray surfaces with blue, rose, and gold hues when tilted under a light. LIBERTY and the date are bold on the obverse while the eagle and wreath on the reverse retain good detail. The legend, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, is strong.

Small Date, Large Letters. A scarce small eagle reverse dollar displaying original dove-gray surfaces and moderate even wear. Liberty’s portrait retains solid outline detail for the grade, with bold stars, date, and legend. The reverse wreath, eagle, and legend remain equally strong.
