A beautiful very well centered Battleship note that combines rich color, bright original paper, and nice embossing. Both PCGS and PMG list 2 notes each at this grade level with both services listing nothing finer.
Boston District. A pleasing ‘Battleship’ that exhibits vivid color, bright paper, and well balanced margins.Strong eye appeal.
Cleveland District. Well centered with rich color and bright original paper. The serial number is a lowly 3 digit. Great eye appeal!
Atlanta District. A nicely margined and deeply inked Battleship. Nicely embossed with bright white premium paper.
Dallas District. A lovely ‘Battleship’ that displays bright original paper and rich color. Great eye appeal!
Atlanta District. A scarce type and variety that shows only 52 notes known in all grades according to Track and Price. This example is well centered and bright with great eye appeal.
St. Louis District. Plenty of bold color and brightness remains on this seldom seen note. According to Track and Price, only 28 notes are known in all grades. Only 3 notes have achieved this grade level at PMG. Only a single VF-35 and a single XF-40 grade finer.
Cleveland District. A great issue of a tougher series released late in the run of large size notes. This example displays bold inks, bright premium paper, and nice wraparound margins.
A sharply struck premium Gem with Brilliant silver-white luster, and crisp detail throughout Liberty’s gown, shield, and helmet, with fully defined head detail confirming the strength of the strike. The reverse displays a boldly rendered eagle in flight with clean fields and strong feather definition. Exceptionally well preserved for the issue with outstanding eye appeal.
