A stunning example of this better date with a sharp strike and radiant mint luster over exceptionally nice surfaces. Just 6,000 minted and only 5 have graded finer at NGC.

A scarce and visually appealing example of this low mintage date, displaying light even wear on the high points with strong remaining detail throughout. Rich golden surfaces retain a pleasing original glow, with sharp definition in Liberty’s portrait and a well-struck reverse wreath. Just 6,000 minted.

Beautiful apricot hues shimmer across razor-sharp devices and glowing mirrored fields. Marks associated with the grade are minor and within expectation. The only date in the Half Eagle series that is proof-only with a mintage of just 87 pieces and a survival estimate of 35-40 known. Pieces of any quality are seldom offered.
