RIC 11a. Providentia standing. Publius Helvius Pertinax was Roman Emperor for only 86 days, (Jan 1-March 28). He attempted to reform the chaos left by Commodus before being murdered by the Praetorian Guard. Due to his short reign, coins from his time are very rare.
