1870 Two Cent Piece PCGS MS-65 RB

A richly colored Gem with glowing red-brown surfaces and vibrant underlying luster. The strike is sharp throughout, with bold shield lines, crisp scrollwork, and well-defined wheat ears on the reverse. Original mint red highlights shimmer around the devices, contrasting beautifully with deeper mahogany toning in the fields.

A predominantly silver-gray example with streaks of olive-charcoal at the upper and lower obverse. Plenty of bold striking detail remains, the word LIBERTY on the obverse shield faint, yet fully legible. A scarce survivor from the first year of operation at the Carson City Mint. Just 12,462 minted.
