A simply splendid early ‘Martha’ that looks newly printed. Vivid inks blend with premium brilliant white paper. A more than ample and well balanced border provides an excellent frame. The back displays the early ornate design. Only 3 notes have graded finer at PMG.
Small Red Plain Seal. With a superior grade, this 1886 $1 Martha Washington represents the first Friedberg number in the series. Vivid inks highlight both the obverse and reverse. PCGS Banknote has reported only 3 in this grade with just 1 finer, and assigned it the PPQ designation for complete paper originality.

The last variety in the type goes out on a high note. Borders are pleasing, color is vivid, premium paper retains full brightness and this is the only large brown seal in the series. Track and Price lists just 279 known in all grades and only 11 graded finer at PMG.

Smooth silver-gray surfaces with soft mint luster and pleasing overall eye appeal. Well-defined details are evident in Liberty’s portrait and the reverse wreath surrounding the Roman numeral V. A scarce date Liberty Nickel that remains difficult to locate in attractive Mint State condition.
A sharply struck Gem with excellent definition throughout Liberty’s hair and the reverse wreath. The surfaces are clean and well-preserved, exhibiting smooth, satiny luster that is brilliant and vibrant, greatly enhancing the overall eye appeal. Only minimal contact marks are visible, consistent with the grade.
CAC. A beautiful, brilliant proof with deeply reflective fields and crisp, frosted devices. Sharply struck throughout, showing strong definition in Liberty’s hair and the reverse wreath. Surfaces are clean and well preserved, with attractive original light pastel toning and excellent eye appeal.
