Series 1923 $1 Silver Certificates are a legendary piece of American currency, being the very last large size one dollar bill ever issued by the U.S. government. This is a quality example with exceptional margins and pack fresh color.

Famously nicknamed the “horse blanket” due to its massive physical size. The reverse shows a highly ornate, stylized engraving commonly refered to as the “cogwheel” design. This is the top note of the sheet, as identified by the alignment mark on the upper margin. A nice higher grade note with bright natural colors.

Rich original orange-gold color and vibrant satiny luster. Sharply impressed with strong detail throughout, the surfaces are notably clean for the grade.

Well struck with full, sharply defined bands on the fasces. Bright mint luster with soft golden toning and clean fields, offering excellent eye appeal for this Gem example.
