A very attractive near-Gem with bright lustrous surfaces.

Well struck with strong feather detail throughout the eagle’s wings, the coin exhibits smooth, lustrous surfaces accented by warm, even copper-nickel toning. Minor marks are minimal and fully consistent with the grade, preserving the coin’s pleasing overall eye appeal.

This Gem Mint State example offers strong eye appeal, with rich original copper-nickel coloration and satiny luster glowing beneath soft golden-tan patina. The strike is bold throughout, particularly on the eagle’s wing feathers and wreath details, while the surfaces remain notably clean for the issue. A highly attractive representative of this historic short-lived design.
