A rare date with most surviving examples only grading VG or Fine. This is a sharply detailed example with predominantly light silver-gray surfaces. Far cleaner than typical with some toning spots but no scratches or other disturbances which is often the case with this date. PCGS estimates 275 known in all grades, raw and certified.

A pleasing note with virtually full margins, original paper, and strong color that includes unoxidized orange ink.

Strong color blends well with paper that displays plenty of remaining brightness.

A scarce issue with a printing of only 43,732.  This example displays  a little over 3 inner frame lines, wonderful green and black  color, and plenty of remaining brightness. Vignettes include Liberty standing at left and a central design of Commerce, Ceres, and Navigation.

A crisp note with strong color and printed by  Hoyer & Ludwig out of Richmond.

Vignettes include Ceres, goddess of agriculture, on bales of cotton in the center. Well inked for the issue and pleasing paper.
