CAC. Reflective medium brown surfaces project a rainbow of blue, green, gold and fuchsia hues when tilted and rotated. Great eye appeal!
An outstanding strike on an issue that is notorious for soft strikes. Every detail, including the hair above Liberty’s ear and the eagle’s breast feathers, is bold and clear. The surfaces are also wonderfully fresh with frosted design features and semi proof-like fields. Scattered marks limit the grade, but even they are fewer and less […]
A well struck example of this scarce date with clear hair detail over Liberty’s ear and sharp breast feathers on the reverse eagle. The surfaces are attractive with just scattered marks that are consistent with the grade and rich cream-white luster.
Bright lustrous surfaces with a sprinkle of gold toning and a great strike. Housed in an old green label holder.
Intense blazing white luster disturbed just slightly by a tiny sprinkle of gold-tan (peach juice?). The strike is needle-sharp and the frosted portrait of Liberty and the reverse eagle really jump out at the viewer and give this coin tremendous eye appeal. Old green label holder.
Dazzling brilliant and highly reflective fields surround lightly frosted devices. Nearly perfect surfaces display a subtle gold and ice-blue hue. None have graded numerically finer at PCGS or NGC.
A stunning example of this better date with a sharp strike and radiant mint luster over exceptionally nice surfaces. Just 6,000 minted and only 5 have graded finer at NGC.
Beautiful apricot hues shimmer across razor-sharp devices and glowing mirrored fields. Marks associated with the grade are minor and within expectation. The only date in the Half Eagle series that is proof-only with a mintage of just 87 pieces and a survival estimate of 35-40 known. Pieces of any quality are seldom offered.
CAC. Sharply struck with brilliant luster and choice minimally abraded surfaces.
