A scarce San Francisco Mint issue from the pre-Civil War era, this 1858-S Liberty Seated Quarter displays even, medium-silver toning and strong detail throughout Liberty’s figure and the eagle’s plumage. The surfaces are original and problem-free, showing light, honest wear consistent with the grade.

An outstanding 1859 Proof Seated Quarter and one of the finest graded by PCGS. Both sides are crisply struck and beautifully detailed with mirrored fields that are deeply reflective. They have a glassy smoothness that contrasts boldly against the frosted design elements, yielding a classic cameo-like appearance and excellent eye appeal. Just 800 minted.

Remainder. Eastern Bank of Alabama. Vignettes include a train named ‘America’ in the center, an eagle at the right, and an allegorical figure with sword and scales to the left. The premium paper is crisp and the red and blacks inks are bold.

Beautiful yellow-gold luster flows across sharply struck surfaces with only trivial abrasions. Just 15,558 minted which, amazingly, ranks as the ninth highest mintage for the $3 Princess. A choice and desirable example in a tough and desirable series!

An attractive ‘Three’ with light, even wear on the highest points and strong remaining detail in the portrait and reverse wreath. Surfaces show pleasing,  yellow-gold color with considerable luster still evident.

Well struck with choice surfaces and vivid copper-nickel luster. A nice example of this popular first year Indian Head Cent.

A pleasing example of this better ‘O’ mint with flashy white luster and a sharp strike.
