Lustrous white surfaces and a sharp strike with minimal marks.

Satiny white luster and a sharp strike, with just minor marks, but nothing of significance that distracts from this coin’s excellent eye appeal. Early ‘O’ Mint halves are hard to find with this kind of flash!

Remainder. Windham County Bank. A central vignette features three allegorical females next to a bust of George Washington. Four large denomination counters flank the right and left sides. Great black and red ink flows across premium white paper. Super eye appeal!

Chemical Bank. A bright proof with deep black inking. Vignettes include the state comptroller’s die at left, three dogs chasing startled birds at center, and two allegorical females shearing wheat at right. Printed on India paper mounted to cardstock, this example displays six typical POC’s across the signature lines.

Remainder. Iron Bank. Very well centered with attractive orange and black color and bright original paper. Vignettes include  larger portraits of Washington and John Marshall as well as small portraits of Adams and Jackson bisected by anchors.

Well struck with light wear on the high points of the design.

Very strong detail for the grade with choice original surfaces.

A pleasing mid-grade example of this scarce date with strong, even silver-gray surfaces and solid detail for the grade. Liberty’s gown folds, shield lines, and star points remain clearly defined, while the reverse eagle shows crisp feathers and a bold mintmark.

Lustrous with a light silvery patina accented by a touch of toning primarily at the borders. The obverse shows strong definition across the intricate six-pointed star on the obverse and throughout the reverse. This is a very attractive example of the only three-cent piece struck at the New Orleans Mint.
