CAC. One of the most common Charlotte half eagles and a great choice for type collectors. Still, most are heavily abraded with poor eye appeal. No Arrows. Very scarce and truly rare in high grade. Just 19 coins have graded finer than this lovely example at PCGS. This is nice original coin with green, gold, ruby, and blue toning on the obverse and a coin-gray reverse with light blue toning at the periphery.
A spectacular coin from the first year of the issue, offering blazing luster, exceptional strike detail, and rich original color. The surfaces are nearly pristine and the eye appeal fantastic!
