FS-301. There are several 1883/2 overdate Shield nickel varieties, and the FS-301 is the most popular of those, having the sharpest 2 visible left of the 3 in the date. This is a beautiful example with blazing nickel-white luster with just a very faint golden hue and wonderful eye appeal.
A well-detailed and nearly mint state example of this popular over-date. The 2 is clear and positioned left of the 3. An interesting obverse die-break runs from the rim, through the top of the 3, and into the bottom of the shield.
A beautiful Gem Proof with outstanding mint rose-red surfaces.
A pleasing example of this better date with a needle-sharp strike and vibrant luster swirling off very choice original surfaces.
CAC. A very scarce date with a mintage of just 1,700 and only 150 or so survivors, raw and certified, according to PCGS. This is a nice problem-free example with strong detail and even nickel-gray color. Outstanding for the grade and a seldom-seen collector coin!
An attractive example of this scarce date with strong detail and choice surfaces. Diagonal lines on Liberty’s neck are from the die and diagnostic for the date. Just 9,925 minted.
A nice borderline uncirculated coin with bright lustrous surfaces and just the slightest touch of ‘rub’.
Blast white and very flashy with frosted design features and semi proof-like fields.
