A sharply struck example of this scarce New Orleans–mint Half Dime, featuring well-defined Liberty with crisp stars and strong central detail. The reverse displays bold wreath elements and clear lettering, with an even silver-gray patina and flashy underlying original luster on both sides.
A pleasing, lightly worn example with smooth medium-gray surfaces. Liberty’s figure and shield are well defined for the grade, and the reverse eagle shows strong outline and feather detail.
Scarce in any grade with a mintage of 26,000. This is a well detailed, pleasing example.
CAC. S.S. Central America. 20A Spiked Shield. Here’s a Gem Type-1 “Twenty” from the S.S. Central America Shipwreck Hoard. It has the special PCGS gold foil label and comes with the elaborate faux book entitled, “America’s Greatest Treasure Ship”. The coin itself has rich orange-gold luster, a great strike and fabulous mint ‘bloom”.
