Cleaned. A scarce issue with a mintage of just 3,500 coins. This example has well-defined design elements, with light wear on the high points and strong overall detail. The surfaces display a bright yellow-gold appearance from past cleaning, but retain pleasing eye appeal for the grade. An affordable example of this scarce date.
Round Liberty Head. R-7. Sharply struck with flashy gold luster and lavender overtones. Just 7 known with none graded finer at NGC or PCGS!
CAC. High R-7. Fewer than a half dozen known. William Barber’s Seated Liberty design depicts Liberty facing left. The reverse is the regular Seated Liberty Half Dollar die. Struck in aluminum with a reeded edge. This is a sharply struck proof with strong cameo contrast between reflective fields and frosted devices. Deep, mirrorlike surfaces show […]
A frosty white and sharply struck example of this scarce low-mintage Seated Quarter. Both sides exhibit strong central definition with crisp stars, well-defined shield lines, and bold feather detail on the eagle. Surfaces are free of distractions and show even, original vibrant luster with heavy frost on the design. An attractive, problem-free example of this […]
Sharply struck, displaying a rich, original copper-gold patina with red highlights. The surfaces are clean and lustrous for the grade, with strong eye appeal and well-defined details throughout.
A richly colored Gem with glowing red-brown surfaces and vibrant underlying luster. The strike is sharp throughout, with bold shield lines, crisp scrollwork, and well-defined wheat ears on the reverse. Original mint red highlights shimmer around the devices, contrasting beautifully with deeper mahogany toning in the fields.
A predominantly silver-gray example with streaks of olive-charcoal at the upper and lower obverse. Plenty of bold striking detail remains, the word LIBERTY on the obverse shield faint, yet fully legible. A scarce survivor from the first year of operation at the Carson City Mint. Just 12,462 minted.
From the first year of coinage at the Carson City Mint. Just 12,462 minted. This is a well detailed example that was apparently cleaned years ago but has now toned down to a natural looking silver-tan color.
Very scarce with a mintage of 17,000 and 85 total survivors estimated to exist, both raw and certified, according to PCGS. This is a pleasing example with sharp detail and bright lustrous surfaces. A very lofty grade for this issue as nothing has graded mint state at either NGC or PCGS.
