CAC. Large 9. O-102. A strong and even strike with almost mark-free gray and lustrous surfaces that have a touch of iridescent gold at the periphery and protected areas of the design.
Overton-104. Large 9. Well struck and lustrous with lightly toned original surfaces.
Square Base 2. Sharply struck with beautiful surfaces that are velvety smooth with rich greenish-gold luster. Remarkably clean with a glass needed to reveal a few microscopic marks. A coin that seems conservatively graded and has wonderful eye appeal. Very scarce with less than 100 known!
O-105. Square 2, Large Date, Knob 2. Well struck with a lustrous white core framed by delicate peripheral toning.
Large Date. Strong detail for the grade with a nice storm cloud grey patina accented by hints of blue-gold toning.
This nearly mint state specimen retains substantial original mint luster with only the faintest traces of friction on the high points of the design. The strike is bold and the surfaces are remarkably clean with an even silver-gray patina accented by peripheral turquoise and gold.
Strong detail for the grade with nearly perfect coin-gray surfaces.
Sharply struck with choice original surfaces, bathed in a soft silver-gray patina with subtle golden undertones and cartwheel luster gently rolling beneath the fields. A very few minor marks are well within expectations for the grade and do not distract from this coin’s excellent overall eye appeal.
