A stunning example of this better date with a sharp strike and radiant mint luster over exceptionally nice surfaces. Just 6,000 minted and only 5 have graded finer at NGC.

Beautiful apricot hues shimmer across razor-sharp devices and glowing mirrored fields. Marks associated with the grade are minor and within expectation. The only date in the Half Eagle series that is proof-only with a mintage of just 87 pieces and a survival estimate of 35-40 known. Pieces of any quality are seldom offered.

CAC. Well struck with satiny luster over mark-free surfaces.

Blast white except for a thin ring of gold at the rim. The fields are ultra deep mirrored and contrast beautifully with the heavily frosted design features to create a strong cameo effect.
