A wholesome, problem-free example of this popular ‘Ugly 3’ variety, displaying even steel-gray toning and pleasing overall eye appeal. Light, honest wear confined to the high points, with strong remaining detail in Liberty’s hair and cap, and well-defined feathers on the reverse. Surfaces are smooth and original, free of significant distractions, with considerable underlying luster.
Rich dove-gray surfaces with traces of underlying luster still evident around the protected areas of the design. Sharply detailed for the XF45 grade, with strong definition throughout Liberty’s curls and the eagle’s feathers, while honest circulation preserves the coin’s natural, undisturbed appearance.
