HM-1. Bright yellow-gold surfaces that are well struck and display plenty of luster for the grade. Marks are minor and none of significance. This date is very popular as it is the first Dahlonega $5 issued and the only Classic Head from this mint.

Well struck with medium gray surfaces. Touches of turquoise-gold cling to the periphery.

CAC.

No Drapery. Very attractive with lustrous cream-white surfaces and minimal marks. The strike is remarkable with every star center and minute design detail fully expressed.

Cut Cancelled. Republic of Texas. An attractive example with strong color and solid paper. A typical cut cancel that can be easily overlooked.

A very popular date as it is rare, from the Dahlonega Mint, and has an obverse mintmark. This is a beautiful ’39-D with attractive surfaces that display sharp detail and bright gold luster. Significantly nicer than most surviving examples which typically grade Very Fine to Extra Fine and often come struck on problem planchets.

Just 18,939 minted and a one year type coin as the head of Liberty was redesigned for 1840. Also, very popular as a rare date from the Dahlonega Mint with the mintmark located on the obverse of the coin. This is an attractive problem-free example with solid detail for the grade and strong eye appeal.

CAC. Rare and extremely popular due to it being a Dahlonega Mint product and having an obverse mint mark. 18,939 were minted with an estimated 175 survivors. This is a particularly pleasing coin for the grade with solid detail and choice surfaces on a problem-free planchet.
