R-5. Similar to the regular issue dies, except the motto GOD OUR TRUST is set directly into the field without a scroll above the eagle. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This is a lovely example with a gorgeous turquoise tint when tilted under a light.

High R-7. The obverse die is from the Seated Liberty design used for regular-issue coinage in 1863. The reverse features the standard perched eagle motif with the addition of a scroll with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST inscribed. Struck in silver with a reeded edge.

A scarce Civil War era issue with a mintage of just 2,630. This is a pleasing example with a sharp strike, minimal abrasions and lustrous gold surfaces.
