CAC. Sharply struck with fully defined motifs and smooth, satiny surfaces that radiate original mint luster. Subtle champagne and pale gold highlights accent the otherwise brilliant appearance, lending the piece an attractive and wholly original look. The fields are remarkably clean, and the overall eye appeal is far above average.

R-7.  A transitional pattern with the reverse of 1866, which added IN GOD WE TRUST, paired with the regular issue 1865 obverse.  Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This is a gorgeous example with choice brown surfaces highlighted by bright blue overtones.
