The ‘Arrows, No Rays’ Seated Half variety was only struck for just two years with this being the only San Francisco Mint issue and by far the lowest mintage of the sub-type. This is an attractive example with solid detail and original toned surfaces.
Well struck with lustrous yellow-gold surfaces. Minimally abraded and wonderful for the grade. Pre-Civil War ‘Fives’ are tough in mint state and this date is no exception.
