A pleasing example of this scarce date which brought $2115 when it sold in a June, 2017 Heritage Sale and was described as, “This collector-grade example shows above-average VF detail and smooth problem-free surfaces. Fantastic quality and nearly blast white with just a very faint champagne hue. The design is heavily frosted and contrasts beautifully against the deep mirrored fields. The surfaces are exceptionally choice with no notable abrasions.

Beautiful yellow-gold luster flows across sharply struck surfaces with only trivial abrasions. Just 15,558 minted which, amazingly, ranks as the ninth highest mintage for the $3 Princess. A tough and desirable example in a tough and desirable series!
