Blast white and a sharp strike. The design is frosted and the fields are highly reflective and borderline proof-like. The field-to-design contrast produces a very attractive ‘cameo’.
Well detailed and lustrous with doubling on the reverse, most noticeably in the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. A fair number of the 1892-CC ‘Tens’ we’ve handled are this variety.
A pleasing example of this better date with far fewer marks than expected for the grade. The surfaces are flashy and white with frosted design features, and the strike is very sharp.
