A solid, evenly worn example of this key-date Barber quarter. Liberty’s portrait remains clear, with all major details well outlined. The reverse shows a bold eagle with complete lettering and strong peripheral definition. Medium gray patina with an honest, circulated appearance. Well struck with rich yellow-gold luster over satiny surfaces that are quite nice and display very few marks. A better date with a mintage of 34,000 which is the third lowest in the series.
CAC. Incredible quality with beautiful mint red luster that has mellowed just slightly. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are spectacular with no noticeable marks or spots. Tied for the finest RB designated coin graded at PCGS!
A nice Gem with satiny luster and no significant marks.
CAC. Outstanding for the grade with a needle-sharp strike and choice original surfaces that display subtle pastel hues. Housed in an early pre-barcode holder.
The second lowest mintage in the series behind the ’11-D with 240,000 struck. However; NGC has graded 54 1914’s as MS-65 and 5 finer while they have graded 80 MS-65 1911-D’s and 6 finer. This is a lovely example with rich satiny luster and a sharp strike.
An incredible matte proof with a needle-sharp strike and essentially perfect surfaces. Coated with a rich vibrant luster patina and accented with light hues of ice-blue and gold, producing remarkable pizzazz. A single 68+ coin is all that has graded finer at PCGS.
